The family radiated this attitude to life and wanted it to be expressed in the architecture. The curved lightness of the architecture, coupled with an open and flexible floor plan structure, reflects this attitude to life and gives the building its specific character.
The decision to dispense with an attic storey was also uncompromising: In favour of a more elegant, horizontally structured appearance and living on just a few storeys. When you enter the house from the street or the garage, you arrive in an extra-high entrance area. The entrance area is not orientated towards the other floors, but is an enlarged staircase landing at street level, which allows for an elegant split-level solution and correspondingly short distances.
