UPPER LAWN refers to the old orchard that spreads out behind the house on a slightly raised part of the plot. The house itself is a single-storey, elongated volume with a flat roof, bringing the double garage, entrance and living area together on one level, before opening toward the garden side through a second, lower level.
A Quiet Spot at the End of the Street
The plot lies at the end of a cul-de-sac, shielded from through traffic and surrounded by tall, mature trees. Toward the driveway, UPPER LAWN presents itself as closed and calm, with the double garage and a recessed entrance. To the south and east, the plot opens onto a generous garden with fruit trees, which slopes gently down to the lower garden level and is held by a natural stone wall.
Living on One Level, Bedrooms on the Garden Floor
From the double garage, the entrance leads directly into the open kitchen, dining and living area, which runs the full length of the garden side and opens onto the terrace through large sliding doors.
