VEDUTA

VEDUTA

Multi-generation house VEDUTA: A clear structure with a broad perspective

Characterized by a clear and tranquil architectural language, the project makes use of natural, refreshing colors to create a sense of warmth while maintaining a modern aesthetic.

Developed from the Topography

Multi-generation house | Location: Sloping site with lake view | Livingfloor area: 384 m² | Volume: 1,684 m³ | Apartments: 3 × 3.5 rooms | Construction: Masonry construction

The positioning of this apartment-building follows the natural contours of the site. The base level accommodates the change in elevation and integrates the building into the terrain. The basement contains storage rooms, a utility room, an hobby room, a workroom and technical spaces. The ground floor accommodates the covered carport, entrance and additional spaces.

Clear Order in Façade and Floor Plan

Vertically aligned windows, precisely positioned balconies and individual round windows structure the façade and give the building a calm vertical rhythm. This order continues in the floor plan. The three apartments each comprise around 78 m² and include two separate bedrooms and an open living, dining and kitchen area. A balcony of around 12 m² complements each apartment. The lift and staircase are compactly organised and provide direct access to each residential level.

VEDUTA and the View Beyond

The name VEDUTA, Italian for view or outlook, refers to the importance of the view within the design. The approximately 33 m² roof terrace forms the upper conclusion of the building and serves as a shared outdoor space. From here, the view extends beyond the site towards the surrounding landscape. In this way, the name VEDUTA finds its expression in the relationship between the house and its outlook.
