WESTWING: Enables a simple extension option in the future
In addition to a spacious and coherent architecture, another point was very important to the client in this project: a simple restructuring of the building into a two-party house later.

One of the reasons for considering this approach was the prospect of a change to the building regulations and the possibility of building an additional attic storey. It was therefore important to consider this aspect at an early stage of the design and floor plan concept.
The aim was to be able to add a storey later and create an additional flat in as little time and with as few resources as possible: in addition to the extension, only three walls and an additional entrance door would be required to create an independent flat.
